Kitchen extension and renovation in Barnes, SW14

A side-return extension with rooflights and a renovation of the ground floor of a house in SW14.

The new kitchen is a painted shaker design on a walnut floor, lit from above by rooflights along the side return. Outside, a slate-paved garden terrace finishes the job.

Side-return extensions often sit on a boundary with a neighbour, so party wall matters, drainage and the neighbouring wall are dealt with before the main works start.
