A rear extension and full renovation of a house in Richmond. The extension creates an open-plan kitchen with sliding glazing straight onto the garden.

Through the rest of the house we fitted new bathrooms, alcove joinery and a lit staircase, bringing the whole house up to the same standard as the new kitchen.

Large sliding glazing needs a level threshold, accurate structural openings and good drainage outside. These are set out early, so the doors run smoothly and the inside and outside floors line up.
